Blackjacks Roadhouse in Nisku, Alberta, sparked with steel and colour as it hosted the second annual Tow Truck Show and Shine. Organized by the Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta (TRAA), the event made its comeback on September 16, 2023, after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Building on the success of its inaugural launch in 2019, the event brought a fun day for everyone.

Following the CAA conference, the event brought together industry professionals and enthusiasts to celebrate the spirit and resilience of the towing community. With 24 entries in the Show and Shine contest, and 20 vendors present, the event was more than just a display of polished tow trucks; it was an opportunity to discover the latest industry products and services, and to mingle with towing peers. The event attracted a diverse group of around 500 attendees and featured a sold-out dinner.

Looking to the future, Getschel told Tow Canada that he hopes to draw even larger crowds, including towing companies from the Calgary area, to enhance the event’s reach and influence.

Events like the Tow Truck Show and Shine not only unite community members to share their passion, expertise, and camaraderie, but also offer a glimpse into the dynamic and vibrant world of the towing and recovery industry, highlighting their dedication to keeping our roads safe.

Tow Canada congratulates the Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta and looks forward to many more successful tow shows in the future. 🍁
