2023 Canadian Tow Shows: Mark Your Calendar

Experience the best of the Canadian towing industry this fall with these highly anticipated tow and trade shows in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.

Summer s in full swing, and with it we can look forward to a number of industry events that are better held in warm weather. In Saskatchewan, towers and other roadside responders can look forward to another fun and fabulous Blue Lights and Burgers event, to be held on August 23 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, and that is not all.

For the first time in many years, the Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta (TRAA) will be hosting a tow show in Nisku, Alberta, on September 16, and the Provincial Towing Association of Ontario (PTAO) will be holding its annual Tow Trade Show in Kitchener, Ontario, on September 15-16. Finally, closing the tow and trade show season will be L’Association des Professionnels du Dépannage du Québec (APDQ) with its annual Convention on October 13-14, 2023.

Tow shows offer invaluable opportunities to network, gain insight from industry leaders and educators, visit with peers and
colleagues, and support your local tow and recovery association.

The Provincial Towing Association of Ontario (PTAO) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, which has led to a special program for its annual Tow Trade Show. Weekend festivities will encompass a tow industry panel discussion, training seminars featuring EV emergency response, an awards banquet with illusionist Lukas Stark, and, of course, trade show vendors with their exhibitions.

For the very first time, PTAO will also be hosting a Tow Trade Show Memorial Procession to honour all tow truck operators who have been injured or lost their lives in the line of duty, alongside an inaugural Women in Towing Appreciation Luncheon

This newly introduced event centers around recognizing the contributions of women in the towing industry. Event organizer Tammy Vandenheuvel emphasized, “being a woman in the towing industry doesn’t mean you have to sit behind the steering wheel of a wrecker. It is any woman who contributes to the success of their towing operation or the industry as a whole.” Click here to learn more about this event.

Tow Canada will be attending the PTAO Tow Trade Show, and we look forward to seeing everyone there! Make sure to stop at our booth to say hello and share a story or two.
