WreckMaster Launches Online University

WreckMaster has always been about training tow operators to have the skills they need to perform to the best of their abilities through classroom and hands-on experience. Now they have taken that same level of education online to reach a wider audience.

“We have training tutorials online and interactive videos that will help people learn if they can’t make it out to a class,” said Bruce Campbell, lead WreckMaster instructor. “We are finding operators are having a harder and harder time getting out because they’re short staffed or they can’t afford to be away from their businesses so this gives them the opportunity in their own home or business to get online and do some training.”

Online users will find four types of training formats available: leveled courses, tutorial courses, safety meetings, and video tutorials.

Leveled courses are the online versions of WreckMaster’s hands-on training courses. They follow the same curriculum and provide the same knowledge but can be completed from the comfort of your own home. The courses are broken down into lessons and topics and can be completed at the student’s own pace. The courses do not include a certification exam, though some include short information retention tests called knowledge checks.

Tutorials are short online learning courses featuring techniques, skills, and other information designed to make operators more informed and efficient. And, like the leveled courses, students progress at their own pace and test their retention with knowledge checks.

Safety meetings are unique presentations with content focused on informing towing owners and operators how they can stay as safe as possible while on the road and video tutorials teach the ins-and-outs of some of towing and recovery’s most advanced techniques.
